Banco Santander SA (the Bank) is a Brazil-based bank integrating the international financial group Banco Santander Espanha. Its main business areas are the retail banking, wholesale banking, asset management and insurance. In March 2009, Banco Santander SA announced that it has acquired the outstanding 50% of Brazil insurance group Real Tokio Marine Vida e Previdencia, affiliated of Tokio Marine Holdings, Inc., which the Company did not yet own.
