China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. is principally engaged in the generation of hydropower from the Yangtze River, as well as the investment and operation of hydropower plants. The Company also provides consultation services on power-generating technologies and maintenance services for hydropower projects. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company's major clients included State Grid Corporation of China, Central China Grid Company Limited and China Southern Power Grid Corporation Limited. As of December 31, 2008, the Company had one wholly owned subsidiary and six major associates.
