Chongqing Changan Automobile Company Limited is principally engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The Company offers mini passenger vehicles under the brand Changan Star, minivans under the brand Changan and passenger cars under the brands Changan Benben,Changan Zhixun, Changan Zhixiang, Changan Yuexiang, Changan Suzuki Lingyang, Swift, Changan Suzuki SX4, Mondeo, Focus, Fiesta, Mazda 3, Mazda 2, S-MAX, Volvo S40 and Volvo S80, among others. The Company also manufactures and distributes various engines. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company manufactured approximately 831,000 vehicles and sold 834,500 vehicles. The Company distributes its products within the domestic market and to overseas markets. As of December 31, 2008, the Company had 14 major subsidiaries.
