Health plans don't just run themselves, you know. For that there's Schaller Anderson, a provider of administrative and consulting services to managed health plans in nearly a dozen states. The company manages primarily government-run plans, such as Medicaid; it got its start in 1986 working to improve Arizona's Medicaid system and now administers plans across the nation. It doesn't cater exclusively to the Medicaid crowd, however; customers include commercial plans and self-funded employer plans, including programs for Parkland Community Health Plan, Aetna Better Health, and Catholic Healthcare West. Health insurer Aetna owns Schaller Anderson.
