Mekonomen AB is a Sweden-based company engaged in the operation of a retail chain offering a range of automotive spare parts and accessories. The Company also has own wholesale operations. It offers approximately 67,000 items for 9,000 car models, together with a range of marine spare parts, accessories for leisure boards and spare parts for snowmobiles, together with additional 500,000 products available through contract suppliers. As of December 31, 2011, the Company more than 300 stores, of which 230 stores were wholly owned and 104 stores were operated through partnerships. Additionally, the Company had 1,686 affiliated workshops through cooperation agreements, of which 1,036 workshops operated under the Mekonomen Service Center concept, 420 workshops operated through the MekoPartner concept, 219 workshops operated under the BilXtra brand and 11 under the Speedy brand. As of December 31, 2011, the Company was active through more than 100 subsidiaries.
