The Company is a service brokerage firm. The Company operates through four segments: clearing, which provides clearing and execution services for general securities broker/dealers and for firms specializing in high volume trading; retail, which offers retail securities products and services, insurance products and managed accounts through the activities of its employee registered representatives and its independent contractors; institutional, which offers institutional customers in securities lending, investment banking and public finance, fixed income sales and trading, trading and agency execution services, and banking, which offers traditional banking products and services.
