Syntroleum Corporation (Syntroleum), along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the commercialization of technologies to produce synthetic liquid hydrocarbons. The Syntroleum Technologies consist of air based syngas generation from natural gas, Fischer-Tropsch (FT) technology to convert syngas to FT wax, and hydroprocessing technology. The Company's hydro-processing technology is utilized either for conversion of FT wax (Synfining) or fats oils and greases (Bio-Synfining) into naphtha, diesel and liquefied petroleum gases (LPG). The Company also produces ASTM D7566, commercial jet fuel, as well as HRJ-5, military jet fuel. The Syntroleum Process produces synthetic liquid hydrocarbons that are substantially free of contaminants normally found in refined products made from crude oil. These synthetic liquid hydrocarbons can be further processed into fungible products through the Company's Synfining Process.
