Sitestar Corporation is an Internet service provider (ISP) that offers consumer and business-grade Internet access, wholesale managed modem services for downstream ISPs and Web hosting. Sitestar also delivers value-added services, including spam, virus and spyware protection, pop-up ad blocking and Web acceleration. It maintains multiple sites of operation and provides services to customers throughout the United States and Canada. The Company has two business units, which have been aggregated into two segments: Corporate and Internet. The Corporate group is the holding company, which oversees the operations of the Internet group and arranges financing. The Internet group provides Internet access to customers throughout the United States and Canada. On February 10, 2009, the Company acquired the Internet-related assets of Pulaski Networks, LLC, a Virginia-based ISP. On November 1, 2008, it acquired the Internet-related assets of ISP Holding Company, LLC (doing business as DONOBi).
