If you'll meet me in St. Louis, chances are there'll be a Schnucks in sight. The region's largest food chain, Schnuck Markets operates about 100 stores, two-thirds of which are in the St. Louis area. The other stores dot Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin. All stores offer a full line of groceries and 95% of them boast pharmacies. Other services include Redbox video rentals, in-store banking, and florist shops. While most stores operate under the Schnuck banner, the company also runs about half a dozen Logli supermarkets in Illinois and Wisconsin, and a specialty pharmacy. Founded in 1939, the company is owned by the Schnuck family and run by CEO Scott Schnuck and president and COO Todd Schnuck.
