Templeton Emerging Markets Income Fund (the Fund) is a non-diversified, closed-end investment company. The Fund seeks current income, with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. It invests at least 80% of its total net assets in income-producing securities of sovereign or sovereign-related entities and private sector companies in emerging market countries. The Fund may invest in the Institutional Fiduciary Trust Money Market Portfolio (Sweep Money Fund), an open-end investment company managed by the Fund’s investment adviser. The Fund’s investment adviser is Franklin Advisers, Inc.
