Tier Technologies, Inc. (Tier) is a provider of biller direct electronic payment solutions (EPS). These solutions provide payment services for Web, automated interactive voice response (IVR), call center and point-of-sale (POS) environments. Its solutions include payment services, including consolidation of income payments, bill presentment, convenience payments, installment payments and flexible payment scheduling. Tier also offers its clients a range of payment choices, including credit and debit cards, electronic checks, and cash and money orders. EPS services are provided by its wholly owned subsidiary Official Payments Corporation. The Company operates in two segments: EPS operations and Wind-down operations. On January 27, 2009, the Company acquired ChoicePay, Inc. On November 30, 2008, it sold Financial Management Systems.
