Trans-Lux Corporation is a provider of integrated multimedia systems for the communications environments. The essential elements of these systems are the real-time, programmable electronic information displays the Company manufactures, distributes and services. These display systems utilize light emitting diode (LED) technologies. It is designed to meet the communication needs of both the indoor and outdoor markets; these display products include text, graphic and video displays for stock and commodity exchanges, financial institutions, college and high school sports stadiums, schools, casinos, convention centers, corporate applications, government applications, theatres, retail sites, airports, billboard sites and numerous other applications. In addition to its core display business, the Company also owns an income-producing real estate property. On July 15, 2008 the Company completed the selling of its entertainment division.
