Tempur-Pedic International Inc. (Tempur-Pedic International) is a manufacturer, marketer and distributor of mattresses and pillows. The Company sells its products in approximately 80 countries primarily under the TEMPUR and Tempur-Pedic brands. It operates through two business segments: Domestic and International. The Domestic operating segment consists of the Company’s United States manufacturing facilities, whose customers include its United States distribution subsidiary and certain third-party distributors in the Americas. The International segment consists of the Company’s manufacturing facility in Denmark, whose customers include all of its distribution subsidiaries and third-party distributors outside the Domestic segment. Tempur-Pedic International sells its mattresses and pillows through four distribution channels in each operating business segment: Retail, Direct, Healthcare and Third party.
