TRW Automotive Holdings Corp. is a diversified supplier of automotive systems, modules and components to global automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and related aftermarkets. The Company conducts its operations through its subsidiaries. These operations primarily include design, manufacture and sale of active and passive safety related products. Active safety related products refer to vehicle dynamic controls (primarily braking and steering), and passive safety related products principally refer to occupant restraints (primarily air bags and seat belts) and safety electronics (electronic control units and crash and occupant weight sensors). The Company has three segments: chassis systems, occupant safety systems, and automotive components.
