Description

Acadian Timber Income Fund (Acadian) is a supplier of forest products in Eastern Canada and the North-eastern United States. During the year ended December 31, 2008, Acadian owned and managed approximately 1.1 million acres of freehold timberlands in New Brunswick (NB Timberlands) and Maine (Maine Timberlands), and provides management services relating to 1.3 million acres of Crown licensed timberlands. It also owns and operates a forest nursery in Second Falls, New Brunswick. Acadian’s products include softwood and hardwood saw logs, pulpwood and biomass by-products, sold to more than 110 regional customers. During 2008, NB Timberlands owned and managed 765,000 acres of freehold timberlands. In 2008, Maine Timberlands owned and operated 311,000 acres of freehold timberlands.
