Blue Note Mining Inc. is an exploration company. The Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Blue Note Caribou Mines Inc (BNC) is a mining company with properties located in New Brunswick. The business of the Company is to operate mines and mineral processing facilities acquired through the acquisition, exploration and development of exploration properties or the acquisition of existing mining operations. The minerals being targeted by the Company are zinc, lead, copper, nickel, gold and silver. Commencing January 1, 2008, the Caribou Mines properties began commercial operations. In August 2009, Blue Note's wholly owned subsidiary and operating unit responsible for the ownership and management of the Caribou Mines, Blue Note Caribou Mines Inc., filed for bankruptcy. As of January 19, 2010, Blue Note Mining Inc. and X-Ore Resources Inc. announced the amalgamation of X-Ore and 9216-4706 Quebec Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Blue Note.
