BNK Petroleum Inc. (BNK) is a Canada-based oil and gas exploration and production company focused on developing shale gas assets in the United States and worldwide. In the United States, it holds an average 50% working interest in an aggregate of approximately 180,000 net acres, covering three prospects in the Northern and Central regions of the United States, where it is pursuing the exploration and development of shale and tight sand gas plays. BNK is primarily focused on the development of its Tishomingo field in the Ardmore basin in Oklahoma, where it has commenced natural gas production and discovered reserves through the drilling of vertical and horizontal wells. During the year ended December 31, 2008, it drilled and cased 30 wells in the Tishomingo field for a total of 39 wells in the field. Of these 30 wells, 25 are horizontal, five are vertical and BNK is the operator of 20 of them. During 2008, BNK has processed its natural gas and natural gas liquids in two gas plants.
