Brookfield Renewable Power Preferred Equity Inc. (BRP Equity) is a Canada-based company which consists of owning a portfolio of renewable power generating facilities in Canada, the United States and Brazil. Its portfolio is primarily hydroelectric and totals approximately 5,300 megawatts of installed capacity. It operates in three segments: Hydroelectric, Wind and Other. It operates its facilities through three regional operating centers in the United States, Canada and Brazil. It own and manage 176 hydroelectric generating stations, seven wind facilities, and two natural gas-fired plants. In November 2012, BAIF United States holdings acquired a 100% interest in a portfolio of hydroelectric generation facilities, located in Tennessee and North Carolina in the southern region of the United States. The Company�s subsidiaries include BRP Bermuda Holdings I Limited, Brookfield Renewable Power Preferred Equity Inc., Brookfield Renewable Energy Partners ULC and Brookfield BRP Canada Corp.
