The Claymore S&P/TSX Global Mining ETF seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P/TSX Global Mining Index. The investment strategy of the Claymore S&P/TSX Global Mining ETF is to invest in and hold the constituent securities of the S&P/TSX Global Mining Index in the same proportion as they are reflected in the S&P/TSX Global Mining Index. As of December 31, 2006, the S&P/TSX Global Mining Index comprised 84 stocks selected based on the relative importance of the global mining industry within their business model. It also had a balanced representation from different segments of the mining industry consisting of five sub-industries, including aluminum, diversified metals and mining, gold, precious metals and minerals, and coal and consumable fuels.
