Equinox Minerals Limited (Equinox) is a resource company engaged in mining and exploration of mineral properties in Zambia. Equinox has exploration activity being undertaken in Zambia and interests in Australia and Peru. The Company owns the Lumwana Copper Project (Lumwana), a copper project located in the North Western Province of Zambia. As of December 31, 2008, Lumwana had processed 1,070,000 dry metric tones of ore producing 20,046 dry metric tones of concentrate at an average grade of approximately 40% copper with nameplate processing capacity of 2,450 tones per hour. During 2008, it completed 55 reverse circulation holes and 10 diamond holes for an aggregate project meterage of 18,100 meter on the Kanga prospect.
