Crystallex International Corporation (Crystallex) is a Canada-based gold producer. The Company has operations and exploration properties in Venezuela. Its principal asset is the Las Cristinas project in Bolivar State. During the year ended December 31, 2008, gold production in Venezuela was 17,885 ounces. Crystallex plans to commence gold production at Las Cristinas at its base case level of 20,000 tons per day. Its other properties included Tomi and La Victoria mines. Crystallex owns 100% of the Tomi concession, which is located approximately 16 kilometer northeast of the town of El Callao in the El Callao District, Bolivar State, Venezuela. There are four adjoining deposits on the concession, namely Charlie Richards, Mackenzie, Milagrito and Fosforito. In September 2008, the Company ceased mining at the Tomi and La Victoria mines.
