National Bank of Canada (the Bank) is an integrated bank that provides financial services to consumers, small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations in its core market, while offering specialized services to its clients elsewhere in the world. The Bank operates in three segments: Personal and Commercial, Wealth Management and Financial Markets. National Bank offers an array of banking services, including retail, corporate and investment banking. The Bank through its subsidiaries is involved in securities brokerage, insurance and wealth management, as well as mutual fund and retirement plan management. As on October 31, 2011, it deposits totaled $87.1 billion, and commercial deposits totaled $24.4 billion. On July 15, 2011, the Bank acquired remaining 82% interest in Wellington West Holdings Inc. On January 1, 2012, the Bank acquired the full-service investment advisory business of HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc.
