Premier Gold Mines Limited (Premier) is a Canadian-based mineral exploration company, focused on exploring for and developing gold deposits within the United States. It has a diverse portfolio of advanced-stage gold exploration properties in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, and a joint venture in Mexico. It is active in three districts of Canada: Red Lake, Geraldton and the Musselwhite Mine area. In Red Lake, the Company is involved in four joint ventures, including the Rahill-Bonanza Joint Venture with Red Lake Gold Mines, an affiliate of Goldcorp Inc. Its East Bay Project, also joint ventured with Red Lake Gold Mines (35%), is being assessed for potential underground development subsequent to the Completion of diamond drilling. Two other joint ventures in the Red Lake District include the Newman-Madsen Project (50%) and the Argosy Mine Project (49%). During the year ended December 31, 2008, a total of 68,948 metres of diamond drilling was completed on three projects.
