Description

Samuel Manu-Tech Inc. is a processor and distributor of steel, plastic and related industrial products. The Company’s operates in two segments: packaging and metal processing. Packaging comprises the manufacture and distribution of steel and plastic strapping, related machinery and tools in North America and distribution activities in Europe. It also includes the distribution of specialized metal products, wire rope and chain in Canada. Metal processing comprises the manufacture of stainless steel and carbon steel tubular products, welded tubular assemblies, roll formed products, steel pickling and processing, and steel pressure vessels. On January 31, 2008, the Company acquired Tubular Products Company. On February 27, 2008, it acquired Omega Joists Inc. In August 2009, the Company acquired the principal assets and all of the business operations of Piling Products, Inc. (PPI), a Florida-based distributor of hot-rolled and cold-formed steel sheet piling.
