UEX Corporation (UEX) is a uranium exploration and development company. The Company is in the process of exploring and developing its mineral properties. UEX is involved in the exploration and development of 19 uranium projects, including seven that are 100% owned and operated by UEX, one joint venture with AREVA Resources Canada Inc. (AREVA) that is operated by UEX, 10 joint ventures with AREVA and one under option from Japan-Canada Uranium Company, Limited, which are operated by AREVA. The 19 projects, totaling 374,513hectares (925,442acres), are located in the eastern, western and northern perimeters of the Athabasca Basin. The Company holds a 49% interest in the Shea Creek Project, which hosts the Kianna, Anne, and Colette deposits.
