Western Potash Corp. is a mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition, evaluation and exploration of potash mineral properties in Western Canada. Its potash properties are located in Southwest Manitoba and Southern Saskatchewan. The Company’s properties are in the exploratory phase. During the fiscal year ended September 30, 2008 (fiscal 2008), the Company was granted a new Potash Exploration Permit, QP- 172 (the Russell South Permit) in southwest Manitoba. The Russell South permit, covers an area of 49,000 hectares and is located immediately south, and is contiguous with the Company’s Russell-Miniota property, and lies approximately 40 kilometers southeast of Saskatchewan Potash Corp.’s Rocanville Potash Mine. In May, 2008, the Company was granted three potash permits in south-eastern Saskatchewan. The three contiguous permits, KP-407, KP-408, and KP-409, granted by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources comprise a total of 123,948 acres.
