Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd., is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the music production business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Store-bought and Delivery segment is engaged in the sale of products which are based on the audio sources and video contents, including produced audio and video software, as well as game software. The Special Selling and Mail Order segment is engaged in the sale of products that secondarily use the audio sources and video contents. In addition, the Company is engaged in the management of music copyrights and other businesses. As of March 31, 2012, the Company had four subsidiaries and one associated company. On October 1, 2012, the Company establish one subsidiary, and transferred its sales business of compact disc and digital video disk, music and video software and game software, as well as manufacture and marketing contract business to the new subsidiary.
