The Chamber of Commerce of The United States of America is all business. The organization, which aims to represent the interests of US business on national issues, counts among its members more than 3 million businesses, as well as thousands of state and local Chambers of Commerce and other business associations. It serves as an advocate before lawmakers, regulators, and courts; participates in public policy debates; and supports business-friendly candidates through its political arm. The US Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1912 at the behest of US President William Howard Taft.
