UQM Technologies, Inc. (UQM) is a developer and manufacturer of electric motors, generators and power electronic controllers. The Company operates in two segments: technology, which encompasses the advancement and application of its motors, generators, power electronics and software, and power products, which encompasses the manufacture of motors, generators, power electronic controllers and related products. The Company’s revenue is derived from two principal sources: funded contract research and development services performed for strategic partners, customers and the United States government directed toward either the advancement of its technology portfolio or the application of its technology to customers’ products, and the manufacture and sale of products engineered by the Company. It has two principal operating companies: UQM Technologies, Inc. and UQM Power Products, Inc. (UQM Power).
