Van Kampen Trust for Investment Grade Municipals (the Trust) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust's investment objective is to provide a high level of current income exempt from federal income taxes, consistent with preservation of capital. The Trust will invest substantially all of its assets in municipal securities rated investment grade at the time of investment. The Trust may invest a portion of its assets in inverse floating-rate instruments. It invests in sectors, such as hospitals, public education, single family and airports. The Trust’s investment advisor is Van Kampen Asset Management. On June 8, 2007, the Trust acquired Van Kampen Trust for Investment Grade Florida Municipals.
