Description

Washington Banking Company is a bank holding company that operates through its principal wholly owned subsidiary, Whidbey Island Bank (the Bank). The Bank is a state-chartered bank that conducts a full-service community commercial banking business. The business of the Bank, which is focused in the northern area of Western Washington, consists primarily of attracting deposits from the general public and originating loans. The Bank also offers non-deposit managed investment products and services. These programs are provided through the investment advisory companies, Elliott Cove Capital Management LLC and DFC Services & DFC Insurance Services. It also offers another non-deposit product, which is a sweep investment option available through a brokerage account. The Company’s primary market area consists of Island, Skagit, Whatcom, Snohomish and San Juan counties in northwest Washington State.
