Description

Waste Services, Inc. (Waste Services) is a multi-regional, integrated solid waste management company. The Company has three operating segments: Eastern Canada, Western Canada and Florida. Waste Services is a holding company and all of its operations are conducted by its subsidiaries. The Company provides collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services for commercial, industrial and residential customers in the United States and Canada. The Company services an estimated 77,900 commercial and industrial customers, and served an estimated 7.4 million residential homes. The Company operates seven landfills, 22 transfer stations, 12 recycling facilities, and 33 collection operations. The operations of Waste Services are located in United States and Canada. In March 2008, the Company sold its hauling and material recovery operations and a construction and demolition landfill site in the Jacksonville, Florida. In December 2008, the Company acquired RIP, Inc.
