Zargon Energy Trust (the Trust) is a Canada-based energy trust. The principal business activity of the Trust is the exploration for and development and production of petroleum and natural gas in Canada and the United States. The Trust’s activities are focused in three core areas. The Williston Basin and the Alberta Plains core areas are engaged in oil exploitation business. The Alberta Plains and West Central Alberta core areas are engaged in natural gas exploration and development businesses. On January 23, 2008, the Trust acquired Rival Energy Ltd. On May 16, 2008, the Trust acquired Newpact Energy Corp.
