BorgWarner Inc. is a global supplier of engineered automotive systems and components for power train applications. The products are manufactured and sold globally to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of light-vehicles (passenger cars, sport-utility vehicles, vans and light-trucks). The Company’s products are also sold to other OEMs of commercial trucks, buses and agricultural and off-highway vehicles. The Company operates manufacturing facilities serving customers in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The Company operates in two business segments: Engine and Drive train. As of December 31, 2008, the Company was engaged in 10 joint ventures.
