Companhia Paranaense de Energia - COPEL is a Brazil-based company involved in the energy sector. It has 17 hydroelectric and one thermoelectric power plants. Through its subsidiaries, Copel is principally engaged in the distribution, generation, transmission and commercialization of electric energy for residential, industrial, commercial and rural consumption, among others. The Company directly serves 3,491,930 consuming units, across 393 cities and 1,118 locations (districts, villages and settlements) in the state of Parana. The Company also provides telecommunication and consulting services. The Company’s subsidiaries include COPEL Geracao e Transmissao, COPEL Distribuicao, COPEL Telecomunicacoes and COPEL Participacoes, among others.
