EverBank Financial helps bank accounts stay evergreen. The privately-held holding company owns home loan servicer EverHome Mortgage, which manages some 340,000 loans, and EverBank, which offers community banking services through a handful of branches in northeastern Florida. The company has a mortgage production joint venture with priceline.com, and provides online banking through EverBank Direct. It also offers wholesale residential and commercial real estate lending. EverBank got a boost in 2008 when private investment firm Sageview Capital contributed over $100 million to the company.
