In addition, the Company sells dialysis products to other dialysis service providers. At December 31, 2008, it provided dialysis treatment to 184,086 patients in 2,388 clinics worldwide located in more than 30 countries. In the United States, it also performs clinical laboratory testing and provides inpatient dialysis services and other services under contract to hospitals. It also develops and manufactures a range of equipments, systems and disposable products, which it sells to customers in over 115 countries.
