Hercules Offshore, Inc. (Hercules Offshore) provides shallow water drilling and marine services to the oil and natural gas exploration and production industry globally. The Company provides these services to national oil and gas companies, integrated energy companies and independent oil and natural gas operators. The Company owns a fleet of 38 jackup rigs, including Hercules Triumph and Hercules Resilience, 19 liftboat vessels and operates an additional five liftboat vessels owned by a third party. The Company operates in three segments: Domestic Offshore, International Offshore and International Liftboats. The Company’s drilling rigs are used for exploration and development drilling in shallow waters. The Company’s liftboats are self-propelled and self-elevating vessels. The Company’s Jackup rigs are mobile, self-elevating drilling platforms equipped with legs that can be lowered to the ocean floor until a foundation is established to support the drilling platform.
