iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond Fund (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the United States dollar high-yield corporate bond market as defined by the iBoxx $ Liquid High Yield Index (the Index). The Index is a rules-based index consisting of the most liquid United States dollar-denominated, high-yield corporate bonds for sale in the United States, as determined by the index provider. The Index is designed to provide a balanced representation of the United States dollar-denominated, high-yield corporate bond market through some of the most liquid high-yield corporate bonds available. The number of issues in the Index is typically 50, although this may change from time to time. The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index.
