iRobot Corporation is engaged in designing and building robots. The Company designs robots for the consumer, defense and security, telemedicine, and mobile video collaboration markets. It operates in two business segments: the home robots business, and the defense and security robots business. The Company's home robots business segment offers products to consumers through a network of retail businesses across the United States, to various countries through international distributors and retailers, and through the Company's on-line store. The Company's defense and security robots business segment offers products to the United States Department of Defense and to other North American and international entities. The Company's brands include iRobot, Roomba, Ava, Scooba, Mint, ViPR, NorthStar, Create, PackBot, FirstLook, iAdapt, Aware, Home Base, Looj, Braava, Kobra, AeroForce, uPoint, AeroVac, Mirra, and Virtual Wall, among others.
