iShares Dow Jones U.S. Index Fund (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance of the Dow Jones U.S. Index (the Index). The Index measures the performance of the United States equity market, and consists of all of the companies in the Dow Jones Large-Cap Index, Dow Jones Mid-Cap Index and Dow Jones Small-Cap Index. It serves as the underlying index for the Dow Jones U.S sector indices. The Index is a capitalization-weighted index designed to represent 95% of the United States market. Component companies are adjusted for available float and must meet objective criteria for inclusion to the Index. The Index is reconstituted quarterly. The Fund invests in a representative sample of securities included in the Index that collectively has an investment profile similar to the Index. The Fund’s investment advisor is Barclays Global Fund Advisors.
