Journal Communications, Inc. operates through three business segments: publishing, broadcasting and corporate. The Company�s broadcasting segment, as of December 25, 2011, consisted of 33 radio stations and 13 television stations in 12 states and the operation of a television station under a local marketing agreement. The Company�s publishing segment consists of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, which serves as the daily newspaper for the Milwaukee metropolitan area, and several community newspapers and shoppers in Wisconsin. The Company�s corporate segment consists of unallocated corporate expenses and revenue eliminations. The Company�s interactive media assets build on its publishing and broadcasting brands. The Company�s broadcasting business is conducted through its wholly owned subsidiary, Journal Broadcast Corporation and its subsidiaries. Its publishing business is conducted through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Journal Sentinel, Inc. and Journal Community Publishing Group, Inc.
