Description
LifePoint Hospitals, Inc. (LifePoint), acting through its subsidiaries, operates general acute care hospitals in non-urban communities in the United States. As of December 31, 2008, the Company and its subsidiaries owned or leased 48 hospitals, having a total of 5,686 licensed beds, and serving communities in 17 states. On February 1, 2009, the Company completed the acquisition of Rockdale Medical Center (RMC), a 138-bed acute care hospital located in Conyers, Georgia.
