It also provides investment management services with respect to its general fund assets, segregated fund assets, mutual funds, and to institutional customers. It also offers reinsurance services, specializing in life retrocession and property and casualty reinsurance. It operates in four divisions: U.S. Division, Canadian Division, Asia and Japan Division, and Reinsurance Division. In addition, asset management services are provided by its Investment Division, operating as MFC Global Investment Management. In October 2009, the Company acquired Pottruff & Smith Travel Insurance Brokers Inc.
