Description

PowerShares WilderHill Clean Energy Portfolio (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to an equity index called the WilderHill Clean Energy Index (the Index). The Fund will invest at least 80% of its total assets in common stocks of companies engaged in the business of the advancement of cleaner energy and conservation. The Fund will invest at least 90% of its total assets in common stocks that comprise the Index. The Index comprises approximately 52 companies, which are publicly traded in the United States and engaged in a business or businesses, which the Clean Energy Index Selection Committee believes stand to benefit substantially from a societal transition toward use of cleaner energy and conservation. The Fund’s investment adviser is Invesco PowerShares Capital Management LLC.
