Description

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) conducts business in the automotive industry. The Company also conducts business in finance and other industries. The Company's segments include Automotive, Financial Services and All Other. The Automotive segment designs, manufactures and distributes sedans, minivans, compact cars, sport-utility vehicles, trucks and related parts and accessories. The Financial Services segment consists of financing, and vehicle and equipment leasing operations to assist in the merchandising of the parent company and its affiliated companies products, as well as other products. The All Other segment includes the design, manufacturing and sale of housing, telecommunications and information technology related businesses, including a Web portal for automobile information called GAZOO.com. Its markets for automobiles are Japan, North America, Europe and Asia. It sells its vehicles in over 170 countries and regions.
