Vu1 Corporation, formerly Telegen Corporation, is focused on developing, manufacturing and selling mercury free, energy efficient light bulbs based on its light-emitting technology. The Company call this technology Electron Stimulated Luminescence (ESL). The Company formed Sendio s.r.o. (Sendio) in the Czech Republic as a wholly owned subsidiary for continued development of the bulb, and to design the manufacturing processes required for commercialization and manufacturing. During the year ended December 31, 2008, the Company focused on its initial product, the R30 sized light bulb. The R30 size bulb is used primarily in lighting fixtures that are recessed in the ceiling of commercial and residential buildings and are commonly referred to as recessed can fixtures. The Company is continuing its methods research and manufacturing proof of concept prototypes and are continuing to develop the manufacturing processes for an R30 sized light bulb utilizing its ESL technology.
