Google Account Activity
We think you knowing more about your use of Google is a good thing. Account Activity gives you more insight into how you’re using Google services while signed in and helps you to manage your information on Google.
If you sign up, each month we’ll send you a link to a password-protected report with insights into your use of Google services while you were signed in.
In your report, you can learn things like how much email you send and receive, how many views your YouTube videos are getting, from which countries you have signed in to Google and what your top Google searches have been.
Knowing more about your own account activity can also help you take steps to protect your Google Account. For example, if you notice sign-ins from countries where you haven’t been or devices you’ve never owned, you can change your password immediately and sign up for the extra level of security provided by 2-step verification.
Account Activity is a complement to other tools like the Google Dashboard, which shows you what information is stored in your Google Account, and the Ads Preferences Manager, which lets you control the way Google tailors ads to your interests.
It’s good to know that you can use Account Activity reports to learn about your use of Google services. Read the next topic: How to use Ads Preferences Manager to view and edit the information Google uses to show you interest-based ads
