Incognito mode in Chrome

Imagine if you were organizing a surprise present for that special someone. It wouldn’t be much of a surprise if the special someone found out. That’s why sometimes you may prefer to keep your browsing private. Google Chrome, like many browsers, offers private browsing: In Chrome this is called incognito mode. Pages that you open and files that you download while in incognito mode aren’t recorded in Chrome’s browsing or download history. We also make sure all new cookies are deleted when you close your incognito windows.

It’s worth noting that sometimes, even in incognito mode, sites can still remember the information you’ve entered on a web form. And if your Internet service provider (ISP) or employer tracks the pages you visit, they’ll still be able to do so.

It’s good to know that incognito mode in Chrome stops pages being stored in your browser history. Read the next topic: Sharing features in Google+ and the +1 button
