Latitude
Google Latitude on desktop or mobile makes it easy to share your location with your family and friends in real time. You can adjust your privacy settings in Latitude so that you share as much or as little about your location as you want, with whom you want. You choose who can see your location and at what level of detail, and you can control whether to share, set or hide your location at any time.
Google Location History is an opt-in feature that you can enable for the Google Account you use with Google Latitude. Unless you opt in to Location History, no Latitude location history beyond your most recently updated location (if you aren‘t using the feature known as “hiding”) is stored for your account. You may delete your location history by individual location, date range, or entire history, or disable it to stop storing your locations from that point forward. You will automatically receive a monthly email reminding you that you’ve enabled Location History and any other Latitude applications.
It’s good to know that Latitude lets you share as much or as little about your location as you want. Read the next theme: How to stay safer and more secure online
